Happy Friday friends!
After a busy week, this mama is ready for the weekend! We’ve got a birthday party tomorrow for one of Madeleine’s little friends and our small group and that’s it! I love lower key weekends every once in a while.
Here’s another round up of a few of my favorites things this week!
1.) Chick-fil-a dates with my mini
This week we went to Chick-fil-a for a little playdate with a fellow mama and her littles. It was so fun watching Madeleine play around by herself (something she’s only recently started doing). I love spending time with another mama while we watched our little ones play. I’m thoroughly enjoying this season of life despite all the tantrums and fits because spending quality time with M is just so sweet. I know one day soon she’ll be going out on her own with friends and she won’t want ‘mama’ to come along so I’m soaking it all up!
2.) Our dentist
Ok, this one may seem silly but I have to give a shout out to our dentist at Prominent Point Dental Group. Madeleine had an appointment there this past week and they were SO awesome! They were kind and gentle and only did what Madeleine allowed and just knew how to handle a little in the chair. This was her 3rd or 4th visit to the dentist (we started taking her when she only had 2 or 3 teeth) as we wanted her to get used to going there and she did great! She even let them brush her teeth with the real dentist toothbrush! I was so impressed and am so glad Madeleine can have such a good experience and not be afraid of the dentist. If you’re local and need a good dentist for kids, I highly recommend this one.
3.) L’Oreal Mascara
I heard about this mascara on a podcast (Struggle Well Project) last year and was super skeptical. I’m your average gal who doesn’t splurge on much but mascara was high up on the list of things that was not going to be cheap. We’ve got to have our lashes, am I right ladies?! Well, I heard another mom on this podcast talk about how this mascara converted her from the expensive brand she was using to a cheaper ‘drugstore’ bought brand. I’m here to say…it’s a winner. I recently tried the curved lashes one and I don’t think I like it as much as the Original Voluminous by L’Oreal but it still does good work. If you’re tired of spending a fortune on mascara and want something that works for the budget and the lashes, I highly recommend this one.
4.) Home Body by Joanna Gaines
My Christmas gift from my sis-in-law who nailed it this year. First of all, where are my other JoJo lovers out there?! 🙋♀️ I love all her stuff and basically want her to adopt me just so I can live in her farmhouse. I’ve been going through this book (because I’m the worst at decorating, just ask my hubby, I’d rather just leave all the walls blank) and it hits home like you wouldn’t believe. It’s not just amazing design tips and tricks but she gives practical advice on how to make your house a HOME. Pulling in sentimental items and pictures in a way that’s inviting and personal to you. Ugh, I just love every page I’ve read so far and basically want to redo my entire house now haha.
Hope you guys have a great weekend!
